Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Corridor - MovingAhead

Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Corridor

The map below shows the proposed Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Corridor and potential corridor improvements. Click on the red map markers to see different potential street configurations for each corridor. Learn more about EmX Examples and Enhanced Corridor Examples.

LTD’s Long-Range Transit Plan identifies the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard/Centennial Boulevard corridor as a future part of the Frequent Transit Network. Initially, MovingAhead considered options on Centennial Boulevard to serve Springfield as part of this corridor. As the City of Springfield doesn’t have the resources available to consider transit enhancements on Centennial Boulevard at this time, MovingAhead will only develop EmX and Enhanced Corridor options within the City of Eugene. However, improvements to bus service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard may result in increased service frequencies on Centennial Boulevard depending on service planning decisions.

After you’ve explored the map, please let us know what you think about the transit choices. More detailed maps of corridor examples are also available here. We will use this feedback to identify the right range of transit choices for each corridor. For those corridors that advance, community members and the project partners will have the opportunity to refine concepts, and understand costs, impacts and benefits before making decisions.
