Corridor screening results

The MovingAhead project team evaluated corridors to determine which transit options should move forward for further study. In all corridors, the City and LTD will work together to make improvements for those who bike, walk, use mobility devices, and use transit. A summary of the final evaluation results are shown below. The full Level 1 Screening Evaluation report is available on the Project Library page.

A note about the Martin Luther King, Jr. Corridor: LTD’s Long-Range Transit Plan identifies the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard/Centennial Boulevard corridor as a future part of the Frequent Transit Network. Initially, MovingAhead considered options on Centennial Boulevard to serve Springfield as part of this corridor. As the City of Springfield doesn’t have the resources available to consider transit enhancements on Centennial Boulevard at this time, MovingAhead will only develop EmX and Enhanced Corridor options within the City of Eugene. However, improvements to bus service on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard may result in increased service frequencies on Centennial Boulevard depending on service planning decisions. Ridership estimates and costs provided below for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Corridor assume service on Centennial Boulevard to the Mohawk/28th Avenue area in Springfield. Depending on the final route, these ridership estimates and costs may be revised.
